Kuori’s digital display products are electronic waste (WEEE) at their end-of-life and must be recycled in compliance with the local waste legislation.
European Union and Norway
If you have bought the device from one of Kuori’s resellers, please contact them for further instructions.
If you are a Kuori reseller who has placed the device on the market in an EU or EEA member state where your company is registered, you are responsible for arranging the collection in compliance with local WEEE regulations.

General information about the recycling of a Kuori screen
Regardless of the size of the screen or housing, Kuori’s digital displays are recycled as electronics waste.
In most of Kuori’s products there is an internal motherboard inside the device that has a lithium button battery attached to it. This battery needs to be removed before recycling and placed in a collection bin meant for batteries.
After this the screen can be recycled normally as electronics waste. For posters and smaller screens this usually means crushing the screen in the recycling facility after which the metal parts and electronics parts are separated for further processing. Totems require more manual work, e.g. removing the door, leg and the frame separately. Totems have a lot of steel which means the recycling companies are usually happy to take them free of charge or you might even get paid, depending on the current steel market price.
Kuori strongly recommends using recycling partners who are able to further recycle also the electronics parts, and not just the metal. Inside the EU this is mandatory to be able to reach the required recycling rate.
